Do I HAVE to replace both O2 Sensors???

Default Do I HAVE to replace both O2 Sensors???

2000 D 5.9 104K
Code P0138 bank 1 sens 1 high voltage...
from scanning the posts I have found sensor 1 to be downstream sens (behind the cat)
please correct me if iam wrong.So Ihaveboth replacement sensors here... however, if i can save myself $60+ i would like to what with gas prices and allby replacing only the sensor that is flashing the code... what do you reccomend???

You can replace only the bad sensor. They do not all have to be replaced together.

GMNK5:

As Indy says, you can elect to replace only the bad one. If you have already purchased the pair, you might consider that since both are in hand and you are over 100k, it might be good to do them both anyway if you are planning on keeping the rig.
Otherwise, install the one and save the $$$$$$$$$$.
