I recently purchased a 99 SLT 5.2 (with 107K) and I have a question for the board...
+ The trans temp light comes on and off when it fells like it, and when it does the overdrive shuts itself off. I (and a mechanic) checked the stick and it seems to have enough fluid in the tranny. How are these two connected, and what would be the most likely common cause for this issue. The truck is under warranty, I'm just concerned with repeat visits and down time because of the posibility of a place that can't diagnose this problem. Thannks.

Ok. So my long time on anther car board isn't helping me here, and I'm going to learn a whole new language for the search function. Because it's obvisous that the answers to these questions are here, just hidden within the search. Thanks.
