MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LAMP( M.I.L) CHECK ENGINE LIGHT/AMBER ALERT. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT whatever you want to call it but foir the purposes of this article we will call it the M.I.L

1. Intermittent and fairly frequent lighting lately. Here are the symptoms, and recent repair history.

2. Recent repairs. 1. replaced with a MOPAR fuel cap 2. replaced vacuum lines on underside of vehicle the two lines that connect to the evap canister.

With those little tidbits of info does any one have a idea what could be causing the light to come on, there is not a pattern of when it comes on, it doesnt come on at a specific mileage, or time. The one thing is it will not come on while driving, if it gets tripped it comed on during startup. and stays on until reset.

When light is reset and cleared it trips the same code P0456 evap emissions very small leak.

There are no associated performance problems, no degrade in power, drivability, just an annoying light.

Any ideas from the forum for corrective action.?
