OKay I need pads and rotors on the front, and was wondering. If I just get what ever cheap semi-metallic whatever stuff autozone has in stock, is that okay? I am VERY poor right now, and will have to float the cost of the breaks, but not really have a choice on getting them.

Get the AutoZone Duralast Golds. They are quality pads. A few things you don't skimp on. You could spend more, but these are good ones.

Do they have some equiv at Advanced Auto? I keep forgetting there is no AZ in my town, but there is NAPA, Carquest and Advanced Auto.

It is either time or money. If you don't mind changing your pads more oftenthan the cheap ones are fine. The cheap ones($25)will last about 30K miles. I bought ceramics for $60 and had them for over 80K before replacing them.
