Default Pulstar Pulse spark plugs

I was checking out the pics for the new 2008 chrysler minivan and saw this banner and checked it out. what do you guys think of this?

Wow, this sucker is like comparing regular headlights with HID headlights in terms of power. But at the price of $24.95 per plug x eight plugs, I won't be able to buy these plugs for a while as I am still paying off my hypertech programmer. But looking at the technology and even reading it from popular science magazine, the way it works is awesome! It's about time for a change in spark plug technology.

1 million watt spark vs traditional 50 watt spark.

I can definitely see how this plug can increase power and MPG on our Durangos!

Two hundred bucks is a lot of money to find out it does not work. It is like advertising for a throttle body spacer on a fuel injector motor. Some people swear that it works but I doubt it. 6% increase in fuel economy- well if you normally get 13 MPG now you will get 13.78 MPG but if you read the in the fuel economy section they say the results are not guaranteed and vary by vehicle and driving. In my opinion upgrade your ignition system with the $200 you would spend.

I've seen that site before along with http://www.directhits.com I buy alot of overpriced stuff, such as: M$D 24lbInjectors! I can't see myself buying $200 spark plugs though...

Something that hot will certainly cause predetonation thus pinging. Not worth the time, trouble, results or costs IMHO.

Looks like a ripoff. I sure wouldn't pay that.

Rip Off!
Even if they did work it would be a miracle. Today’s computers monitored spark and I would definitely say that the computer would foul these things up. Not to mention I already have a ignition system that is good in comparison and backed by many years and knowledgeable staff as well as literature. I am pretty sure that they will die just like the rest. Now they might work for set spark ignition like an old truck but sure not a computer controlled one.
I really like the how they added the same spark plug to multiple vehicals.[sm=loser.gif]

They are on a good path but more needs to be done before they think they can get into my pocket book.[sm=smiley21.gif]

Id say that given the fuel/air put in each cylinder per cycle will burn the same reguardless of how hot the original spark is should say a lot. These MIGHT be ok if you change your computer to add more fuel/air because the mixture would be more dense needing a bigger spark to ignight it.
