It's a 2001. I forgot to mention that i do have a rear 2nd a/c & heater section. We'll see when we rip apart the rear of the car on Tuesday. Any other suggestions before then please advise.

I would surely bet it is the rear heater core. Or possibly just a busted heater hose more likely. But I would think that pulling the core out from the rear must not be as bad as tearing down the dash and steering column!
