when do you think is a good time to get the tranny replaced? I mean, i dont want to sound dumb, i know if the truck shifts funny, then somethings wrong, but someone also said that the band in the tranny need to be adjusted as well. Newer technology = 4.7
Everyday driving = 4.7
Max torque = 5.9
Towing = 5.9
It is NOT by accident that I haven't added the 5.2l in there anywhere.
Also mentioned was the AWD setups. My D is the Full Time 4x4 (AWD started in 2001) and has FT4x4, 4x4Hi and 4x4lo.. no 2-wheeling at all. I'd not have it any other way. My D is very surefooted in all driving conditions!
