I am getting a buzzing noise, like a bee, from inside the steering wheel on my wifes 2000 Durango. Anyone got a clue what this could be? It sounds like it is coming from inside where the air bag is located. Is this a common Durango issue? I hang out on the Diesel forum more than the Durango one so I don't know.

 

The only thing that makes any kind of noise on the steering wheel on the 1st gen durangos is the clock spring. I problaby would not worry about this clock spring as far as noise goes until your steering mounted controls stop working.
