I was at wallmart and a d looked like 2000 or so he locked his and the lights flased and horn honked does anyone else? mine doesnt always thought that was stupid cant tell if it locks did he have aftermarket?

 

It was aftermarket.

 

mine flash with the stock keyless remote system.

 

mine (02) will flash the lights and honk the horn when i lock it w/ the remote, and flashes the lights when i unlock it w/ the remote, (it is the stock system as we bought the truck new and drove it out of the showroom)

 

Maybe that is a feature on 01' and newer D's???

 

Horn will chirp but lights will not flash on a '00 or older D on the factory alarm setup.

+1 on the 00 and older models. The only time you will see the lights and horn going crazy on a 2000 or older model is if you hit the panic button.

 

are you sure you can just reprogram the response, mine gives me a list of options to reprogram,(in the manual), but i like it how it is, if you really want it just read the manual you might be able to make it chrip the horn
