Had the exact same on my 2000.

Actually want to edit. I re-read the original post and I still think it may be your U-joint, but my problem was not speed range specific. My vibe was during acceleration and also if going up hill. It was not speed dependent.

Vibes in a certain speed range are usually tire balance related. Not sure how accelerating would affect it though.

I was thinking that sense it's more dramatic when i am on the gas, that it would be more of a power train issue than tires, going to hire tires rebalanced and the u-joint changed this saturday.. Will post the results.

Marine:
Don't overlook the front driveshaft as well in your quest to cure the issue. Lately, it seems that several 4x4 owners are having similar issues with their drivetrain, and finding out the problem is the double U joint on the front shaft.

Replaced the U-Joints... All is well now. The old ujoints were rusted on , had to use a torch to get them off.

I have a what appears to be a rattle and not a vibration when going up hill. This only happens if I going up an incline no matter the speed? What would change when going up hill that would make this rattle occur. It's been happening for a few years and it's really annoying.
