How should we know? We don't know how you drive? What are you getting?

2wd or 4wd? This site lists 2wd 13 city and 18 hwy and 4wd 12 city and 16 hwy. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/

I just got 13.5 mpg hwy at 70 mph with the 5.9L 2wd with the 3.5:1 gears while towing a 2500 lbs trailer over a 150-170 mile trip

DD:

I usually see 16-17 hwy if I keep it under 80. Mine seems to enjoy 70-75 really well.

I will be making the longest trip I have taken in my D here when I go over to Newark for the plant tour in mid-October. That will be ~600 miles each way, and alot of mountains in Penn. Hopefully they won't kill the mpg's.

I have a 2WD. I went on a trip to Orlando and went 75-80 probably 90% of the time and was getting close to 16 mpg mostly in cruise control. Wasn't sure if it should be higher or not. Thanks for the info.

DDSXT:

Remember that wind resistance increases by 4 times (quadruples) as you increase speed. This is why wind drag for the most part is not a big deal at low speeds like it is above 60 or so.

Not long after buying my D, I was on a looooong straight stretch of empty 4 lane in the country, and I wanted to see how the D compared to my previous ride (95 Taurus SHO) at 100mph.

I quickly noticedseveral things;

#1 I hope to God I never had to make an evasive manuever at that speed in a Durango. I definately felt uncomfortable at that speed in the D, whereas I spent the better part of an hour back in 99 in the SHO with the cruise set at 100 on the way to Atlanta for the 10th SHO convention.
That was very exciting and not stressful.

#2. Even though the land was flat, the tranny had to come down out of overdrive to make 100, and I could hear and feel that I was pushing ALOT of air.

#3. I am quite sureI was NOT getting anywhere near 17mpg at that speed.
