RADIATOR ISSUES 2000 DURANGO SLT
I HAVE A 2000 DURANGO 4 X 4 SLT & RECENTLY HAD THE RADIATOR HOSE CHANGED THAT WAS LEADING TO AOVERHEATING PROBLEM-NOW IM NOT OVERHEATING SINCE THE NEW HOSE WAS PUT IN BUT I AM LEAKING ANTI FREEZE THAT IS SEEPING FROM THE END OF THE HOSE CONNECTION CLOSEST TO THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE LEADING INTO THE RADIATOR-COULD THIS BE A RADIATOR THAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED? ONE OF MY FRIENDS DIDNT THINK SO BUT MY MECHANIC SAYS ITS LEAKING FROM THE RADIATOR AND THAT IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED-CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A RADIATOR THAT WORKS BEST FOR THIS TRUCK OR DOES IT NOT REALLY MATTER ALL THAT MUCH-ANY HELP IS ALWAYS APPRECIATED..
I would try replacing the hose clamp 1st unless you are absolutely certain it is the radiator. The difference in price is worth the shot. If you do need a new radiator buy it yourself rather than going through your mech, they usually charge extra on their parts. Alsoget a 4 core radiator it will cool the D a lot better than the original one you have...
