Default Broken Coolant Level Stick - Trouble?

Today I discovered that the small plastic coolant level stick that is in my coolant resevoir has broken off, leaving a plastic popsicle looking stick floating around in there somewhere (2000 Durango, 4.7). For those of you whomay notbefamiliar with the 4.7 (maybe on other motors as well, not sure), the pressure cap is inline with the upper radiator hose. The coolant resevoir is built into the fan shroud, and a small plastic dipstick is used to check the level. Went to check it today - no dipstick, just the "handle" part. I don't really think this broken stick can get anywhere to block or do any damage to anything, other than just floating around or sinking to the bottom, but curious if anyone else had this happen or has an opinion if this could cause a problem? Thanks.

Take the Shroud /resevoir off , turn it upside down and pull it out.
