Default Water pump

I have a 2003 durango 5.9L water pump went out yesterday. I replaced the pump theromstat, belt and tensioner. The truck did not run hot I noticed the leak while checking the oil. Now the truck is running hot any ideas ???

temp gauge reads? what degree t-stat did you install? did you purge all the air from the system? did you mix the coolant properly? stupid question but did you reinstall the belt the correctly?

Also, it may be possible the radiator may be clogged external/internally. run powerwash wand thru the radiator and if that does not solve it, it may be clogged internally and needs replacement.

you might still have an air bubble in the cooling system... turn the heater on full hot, remove the cap and rev the motor some to get the coolant flowing. you should be able to push out any air pockets. does your t-stat have an air bleed hole in the diaphram?

Thanks for the advice

I noticed yesterday that one on the hoses is leaking gonna replace that today and and Ill check about the air in the system
