I just put a new set of Michelin XLTs on my truck ....man oh man what an improvement over those Goodyears....a lot better ride and handling and I do not take my truck offroad so they are the perfect tire for me....but again they are not off roading type of tire.

I don't think you would have any trouble to get those tires to mount on your Durango! At least the OEM 265/75/16 size that is. if you go 275/75/16 I still think it will clear your wheel wells. I had a couple of friends that went a step wider on the tread and overall, they said it gave them a little better handling. To ease your mind, go to a tire speciality shop like NTB or Discount tire and ask them to make sure.

Default GEO LANDERS SUCK

DO NOT BUY THOSE GEO LANDERS!!!!!!! THEY ARE PURE TRASH.... I MEAN IT DO NOT BUY THEM.. I BOUGHT SOME FOR MY 98 DURANGO AND THEY CUPPED SO BAD THEY WERE SCREWED FOREVER IN 2 MONTHS.. NTB TRIED TO SAY IT WAS MY SHOCKS OR ALLIGHNMENT WRONG JUST HAD THE ALLIGHNMENT REDONE AND NEW SHOCKS PUT ON.. THOSE TIRES VIBRATED SO MUCH AND SO MUCH ROAD NOISE I HATED DRIVING MY TRUCK...

DONT BUY THE GEO LANDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I kinda have to agree with the guy that said not to by Geolanders. I went from a stock 265/70R16 for my '02 to the Geolanders A/T 265/75R16. When the tires are new, they have great traction on and off road (used them on Arizona desert and Washington trails). Around 30,000 miles I started having cupping problems on the front tires. I couldn't rotate the tires fast enough to keep the thread wear even. I ran 40,000 miles on them before I decided to change brands (now riding on ProComp X A/T's. Ride has been pretty smooth so far.
The 265/75R16 will slightly rub inside the front wheel well for a while when turned to full extremes,
Personally, I'm o.k. with that for the additional 1" clearance.

the 265/7-0r16

265 is the width of the tire
70 is the height (i beleive as a percentage of the width) and
r16 is the diameter of the rim that the tire would mount on
