The truck is a 2001 with the 5.9 motor. The transmission was replaced last week.

I have a 1999 Durango with the exact same problem. I recently replaced the transmission with aremanufactured unit and thats when this problem started. I've called several Dodge Dealers, a Transmission Specialist and asked every Automobile Tech thatI knew, and no one had any concrete answer as to why this is happening. I calledthe remanufacturer of the transmission and they didn't have an answer, They sent me another transmission which did the same thing. I called them again and they have now sent me a third transmission. I am very leary to install this until I have a better answer as to the cause of this problem. If you get yours straightend out please let me know what the problem was. I'll do the same if I get mine figured out.

Did you guys replace the speed sensors when you replaced the transmissions? I've heard of something similiar happening to an Avenger transaxle when the speed sensor wasn't changed out with the transmission. In the cases I've heard of, the vehicles didn't give codes.
