I have a 98 5.2L with 103k miles. No codes are being thrown. Running fine but developed a slight hesitation leaving a stop. Fresh tuneup and checked the vacuum lines with no change. Now when letting off the throttle to an moderate stop it stalls. Restart may or may not result in a idle rough then immediately stall again. A nice slow coast to a stop and it continues running fine. Hot or cold does not matter. I'm not in the habit of simply throwing parts at my cars. I'm thinking a sticky Idle Air Control Motor (IAC) but can't find a reasonable method of testing. Anyone have any ideas to test the IAC and/or other directions?
I had a similar issue, used some intake cleaner, sprayed it on the IAC and in the TB itself. Used a toothbrush to clean the TB seats, and it runs better than ever.
