Default Left front end

Hey guy's just got a new problem. Wen starting from a complete stop I get a winding type noise(almost like your kicking up dirt into your front left fender). Only happens wen starting from a complete stop and definitely coming from the driver front side. Noise only happens for a few seconds from stop. Thouhgt I read somewhere it might have something to do with the steering. I have the AWD if tat helps. Please let me know if anyone's come accross this. Thanks

do you mean a whining noise? I don't quite understand the noise you're trying to explain..

but if its a whining noise, the power steering pump will whine when its low on fluid, it should get louder when you turn the wheel while not moving. However this whine is usually constant and can be heard at all times.

It may be pad dragging, however i think thats pretty unlikely... should sound a lil like a squeak, or grind, or like something is being dragged (for lack of better explaination).

It's not whining at all, almost sounds like I'm kicking dirt up into my wheel well(multiple clicks). Like I said it only happens when I start from a dead stop and only lasts a second. Almost seems like the wheel is slipping and takes a sec to grab.

Seems like it's only the left side, but obviously I'm on that side so I would notice it more there. I'll have to crawl under there and check things out, it's just beendamn cold lately.
