What Engine? 4.7 or 5.9?
I had a 2001 SLT 5.9. Was a great vehical for the first 48000 miles
After around 50K

Replaced both front wheel bearings
First Trans Failure at 52000. replaced Cloged Tran lines.
Rebuilt trans at 57000.
Got rid of it at 58000
Those are the major ones. the minor are too many to list.

I Will never buy another Dodge again!

Good luck

"I will never bu another Dodge again".....WTF, are you trolling or what. Why would a Dodge-hater hang out in a Dodge forum?

There is ball joint recall D47 out you need to have done, other than that are really good trucks despite what you may have heard.

Trolling? Call it what you will but that is the experiance that I had with my truck. If you want to tell him that the truck has No problems whats so ever except for the ball joint recall then He shouldnt even go to this forum to ask. Everyone here will tell him that these trucks have no problems

Let me direct you to some real people that also had "Good experience" with these trucks

Nice truck, I hope it lasts for you. I had/have one just like it that is now totaled after only having it for two months.

Tony, it is easy to point someone to a site that only deals with the bad. I don't ever recall anyone reporting good things to consumer affairs. You should also note that there may be some couple thousand people who are unhappy, there are over 1 million Durangos on the road. That few thousand is only 2-3% of the owners. I can find 2-3% of ANY vehicle owners who are unhappy with their vehicles.

tony which truck, car or motorcycle doesn't have problems? cars and trucks aren't built to last a life time. there's not one on the road that doesn't have problems. If there is maybe you should buy one and join they're forum

granted there are some things that go bad over time, but just like every other vehicle those are easy fixes. TB, speed & crankshaft sensors tend to go. lock actuators (bearing are plastic) ball joints (which you all ready know about) intake gasket for some. clock spring for some, but like I said all easy fixes. I love my D despite it's faults
