hey all

[sm=icon_rock.gif]

just wanted to indroduce myself

My name's Danny and i live on the gulf coast of FL. I just got a 03 4.7 sxt and I'm enjoying it. Me and the wife just got back from a 600 mile trip up to N.FL. The truck drove great and i got about 19 mpg for the trip. Not as good as the wife's 03 gallant would get but it was more comfy. I plan on doing some work on it, cai, muffler, ect... Nothing crazy, just want a little more power. I'll try and get some pics up soon, my home pc just died and i'll have to get some cell phone pics.

On a side note. When I first got the truck I had to replace the T-stat b/c the last owner had gutted it. It hasn't overheated but I am a little worried. I also gota P0441 code about 2 weeks ago, but it went off on this latest trip.[sm=huh.gif]. the only issue i have is that the truck likes to almost stall at a light if the a/c if off. if the a/c is on it idles perfect.

Anyway, Hello all and I'll be around.

danny

Welcome.

The Code you had is..

P0441 (M) Evap Purge Flow Monitor Insufficient or excessive vapor flow detected during evaporative emission system operation.

I'm not sure on the A/C, that's a little odd.

I've done a tune-up on mine, colder plugs 3923 Autolites and a 14" Oval Magnaflow muffler. Took it on a trip and averaged about 21MPG

Can't say I've really noticed a difference in power , but it sounds nicer.

I hear the CAI's can be kind of loud on these, haven't done one yet.

Keep us updated if and when you do it.

magnaflow sounds the best imo. and I would go to a 180 stat. and there are a bunch of CAI out there.
