Heres another wrench for ya, check with chrsyler, they will confirm a bad ABS sensor has and will sometimes disable the speedo up to 40mph..You must be a lucky one, but its not a fictional problem/result.

Side note** Congrats on the diag. and fix luckily it wasnt a huge problem, bearings can be quick.
