2000 Durango won't start
I just bought a 2000 Durango 4x4 with a 5.9 in it. It was in a minor front end accident. The bumper and grille are all thats really damaged, the fender is bent in on top which keeps the hood from closing all the way. I bought it like this and it didn't start when I got it.
It turns over but does not start. I get fuel but no spark. There are no broken wires or any other damaged parts besides the body parts I mentioned earlier. I've tried changing numerous parts but nothing works.
Anyone have any ideas on what this could be? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

How much history do you have on it?? Did it run after the crash, or did the rig stop then??
Try the keysequence on, off, on, off, on and see if you get any codes in the odo display. If you see Pdone, no codes are stored
Also, look at your tach when you try to start it and see if the needle jumps. If not, could be crank sensor.
Could also be that there was a surge or short caused by the crash that took out your pcm.

Generally i'd tell you to get a haynes or whatever choice repair manual since its an electrical problem and easiest explained with documents, but what exact parts did you change in the ignition system? (plugs/wires/cap/coil etc etc)
I have no information on the vehicle's history. I think it ran for a little while afterwards because the fan was grinding into the fan shroud.
I have no codes and when I try to start it, the only gauges that move are gas and battery power.
The parts I've already tried are the coil, cap, and cam sensor. I did those first because I had those parts laying around.
Tomorrow I'll try the crank sensor and if thats not it, I would imagine it would have to be the pcm.
Thanks for the help guys.
