5.9 intake gaskets?!?

5.9 intake gaskets?!?
O.K. --- What's up with these Intake Gaskets on the barrel style intakes on the 5.2 - 5.9L engines?
This is the second 5.9 I've owned that needs the intake gasket replaced. I replaced the gasket on this motor not even 20,000 miles ago.
The motor consists of the following
-MP 380HP crate long block
-MP Magnum heads (extensively ported and polished)
-Jesl aluminum roller rockers
-Stock intake w/ runners cut and opened to 8" each
Custom made billet 4bbl adapter cut into top of intake.
-1000cfm 4bbl throttle body
-custom built computer
-March Pulleys
-Custom grind cam
-MP Headers
-3.5" into flowmaster dual2.5" out
I do run this truck pretty hard, but I do maintain it very well.
Is there a intake gasket on the market better than the others?
Are there any tricks or tips to doing this to make it last longer than last time?
The motor has around 80,000 miles on it now.
Any ideas would be appreciated!

RE: 5.9 intake gaskets?!?
I assume your talking about the gasket that is between the intake manifold and the intake manifold belly pan (as opposed to the gaskets between the intake manifold and the heads). If so, it is a known problem, but luckily there is a very good permanant fix. There are a few companies that make an aluminum belly pan replacement. The problem with the stock design is that the intake is alum, but the belly pan is steel. The metals contract and expand with heat at different rates, eventually causing the gasket in between to fail. Replacing the belly pan with a 1/4" thick aluminum pan fixes this issue. Here's were I bought my kit, but I think Hughes sells it too: http://www.apsprecision.com/billetplenum.html
That said, it sounds like your engine is built enough that you really should just scrap the kegger intake and get 2 barrel or 4 barrel M1 intake.

RE: 5.9 intake gaskets?!?
Thanks yall'
I do appreicate it!
Do they make a 4bbl M1intake for the magnum motors? Or any other company that has one anyone has heard of?
All I could find was the 2bbl version.I have been continplating the M1 with the stock 2bbl, but I really don't want to loose the 4bbl throtle body.

Yes, they make a 4 barrel, and it outperforms the 2 barrel too. Contact John Mercedes at: www.southeastrt.com
He is a huge wealth of knowledge, and hard to beat on price for the Mopar stuff. I'll be getting my M1 from him soon.
