really dumb question
i know that there are ways to fool the computer into thinking the engine is cold to make if put more fuel in, so i was thinking since i get enough power from mine for what i need when its warm, is there a way to fool the computer into thinking that the engine is warm on start up so that it burns more efficiently??? if so what is it and how hard would it be to do???
To my knowledge there is no such way, anyhow i would rather have my truck warm up asap for use. My engine always runs its best at cooler temps and could not justify a longer warm up for efficiency.
yea but for me i could if it would still run ok because i only drive like 8 or 9 miles to school int he morn and home in the afternoon so it would save me some on gas mileage bc warm up period is most of my ride either way
I don't know about fooling the computer...
However, they do make plug-in's for it(like a diesel) it would at least help you one way. They're real cheap and easy to install. I think it was like 50 bucks for both sides. Warms the block/oil to about 90F
