I had my abs and brake light come on but i didn't have any of your other symptoms. I ended up replacing an abs sensor on my front left wheel that somehow got melted. I believe it will be a sensor problem, but you might want to double check your brake fluid level and make sure your fluid is going to your caliper.

While driving on freeway, Brake and ABS light came on, and stayed on continuously. Also, had no speedo below 25 mph. I ended up changing the rear wheel speed sensor, located on the rear differential. Took a couple of wrenches and 15 minutes, all done. Part was about $40 at the dealer, or $27 from Napa (got mine at the dealer, they had it in stock). I understand it is also common for the output shaft speed sensor (located on the transmission, driver side) to give the same problem, but fortunately, is also a fairly simple fix, about 10-15 minutes, with a slightly messier job, as you lose a bit of tranny fluid. Good Luck!

Simmilar thing happened on our '99, I took it to a "ABS Specialists" at my local break shop and they said just replace the pads and shoes on the breaks: nothing ABS related. Much to their shagrin I opted out of a $300 break job and put the breaks on myself, bled new fluid in and havent had a ABS/Break probblem light since.

Thanks for the information on speed sensors. Have a 1999 Dodge Durango SLT Which did same thing. Driving down high way ABS and Brake light came on. Slowed down and speedo droped when below 25mph. Found this sight and bought the rear diff. speed senor which corrected problem. Thanks Again
