wont start really worried
bought my 1999 durango a couple weeks ago started mods fan belt broke i fixed a mile or two down the road it died cranks but wont start need help dealer trying to tell me that its because i installed my aftermarket head unit not looking good for me because amp wiring was also run but not hooked up at either end please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!no spark[sm=boohoo.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif][sm=dontgetit.gif]
check and see if you are receiving power to the coil first.with the fanbelt problem you could have knocked the wire leading to the coil off.then check the negative side of with a power probe when you crank the car the negative side should ground the break ground. if this is not happening then your down to a crank sensor. or just a bad coil.
the only thing i fixed was the belt came off goin down the street and wrapped around the fan so i cut it off and put a new one . and installed after market stereo . the problem was it stalled goin down the street and i found it clicks but has no spark or will not start need ideas dealer saying after market stereo is the problem but i installed that like 2 weeks ago
does the motor turn when trying to start it? or are you getting the starter click?
if the motor spins... coil or crank sensor will cause no spark conditions, as well as a dead pcm. do the key on-off trick to get the codes out of the pcm and let us know what codes your getting.

the dealer is now telling me the alarm system is not getting power do you think that would b intergrated into the stereo head unit?
