Default overhead console.

I dont have the overhead console in my '03 D. I only have the dome lights. Is this something that can easily be swapped out? I would like to swap it out if I can. Anyone have a gray or black one? I am in NC.

Default RE: overhead console.

You first need the wirring harness. Then it would be good and cheaper to go to ebay or a junk yard.

I know Im bringing this back from the dead, but I found one today at a Junkyard (It was 1/2 price day there today). It is in good shape and the way it was wired, it looks as if its wired in the same loom as the standard dome. What I did was I just snipped it back about 6" to gove me plenty of room to connect to the other wires. The console was from an older "D" and I dont know if it will work for my '03. I really hope it does. Anyone else ever done this or know if the wire connector is already up in the headliner? Im gonna pull the dome light down and see what I see. Are the screws behind the lenses?

I am almost positive it is prewired from the factory so it should just be a plug and play application.
