99 Durango, ABS light, no speedo, P0500 code
I've googled around enough to know it should be the rear abs sensor. It tested good but I changed it out anyway. For good measure I also changed the output sensor. Still no speedo and ABS light is still on. So I got a schematic and checked the sensor resistance at the ABS controller (CAB). It checked good at 1.8K ohms. Then I checked continuity of the VSS wire from the CAB to the computer (PCM). It checked good. I'm guessing the the CAB is bad, but I hate spending $270 on a guess. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Tim

Could be the transmission output sensor.
Also there is 1 front wheel sensor but I don't know if your rig is equipted. It would help if I knew what exactly Year, Model, Motor, Trans, Transfer Case. Give up some info if you got it.

did you fix the problem? I also have the abs brake light problem on my 2000 dodge durango, 2wd, rear abs only. I changed the rear abs sensor the trans output sensor, and the brake light switch, changed the differential fluid and put in a chrome cover...and still have the lights problem. I also just changed the front rotors and pads, that's when I found out that I do not have front abs. I do not know what else I can do. any suggestions please. all the parts that I have changed where fun to do and do not regret since the durango has 125,000 miles. I've had it for six months and have only put about 2,000 miles on it. My wife uses it to take the kids to school and grocery shopping only. I just like to do regular maintanance on my vehicles.
