Default Need help with my seatbelt...

On saturday, I found that my driver side seatbelt was suddenly stuk in retracted position. it has practically no give to it. I had just used it ealier in the day without a problem. I toolk off the panel that covers the base of it but I couldn't figure ot how to unlatch it. Has anyone else had this poblem? Thanks in advance.

I really have not heard of any instances in a durango with a locked up seat belt to be honest. Their not my cup of tea knowledge wise so i couldnt tell you what could be wrong but doing a couple searches ( Other dodge vehicle lines) majority of replies mention checking the connection at the seat, and others mention a rollover box. ( But being a single side- i'd maybe rule that out). A couple people in search, had to have the dealer replace the belt system. Hopefully someone with a little more experience with the D systems will chime in, but good luck.

well, I called the dealer and they quoted me a price of $337.00! I love the reliability and toughness of the the Durango I have and the Dakotas I've had.

But, I hate the fact that their parts are so GD expensive! It's ridiculous...

There has to be someone who has worked around this problem?!?!

Thanks for the suggestion Indy, it worked. But, anyone who does the same should take their original with them to match it. Some durangos have a single notch buckle and others have a double notch buckle. I bought the single notch initially and it didn't jive with the other parts of my 02 durango. I finally got on for $20. Thanks againg for the help folks!
