Default change durango bolt pattern

Hi everybody, thanks for reading my post. I would like to buy new wheels and tires for my 03 Durango (1st generation), but have a hard time finding fitting wheels. Does anybody know if the bolt pattern can be changed to 5 lugs? Any experiences, problems, recommendations? I appreciate any kind of response, since I'm pretty new to 'equipping' my Durango. Thanks, A.

in order to change the bolt pattern, you'd have to change the rear axles... You'd have to look into finding newer Dodge vehicles with 5 bolt that use the chrysler 8.5" rear end, and same spline axles..

I just did a 5 lug swap on a mustang LX over the weekend... very easy, and a good time to look over your rear end... we found that the wheel bearings and axle seals were both pretty much shot, so $50 now is much easier than tearing the rear end completely apart again in a few weeks...

You just have to find out what axles are compatable with you rearend.. (which is most likely Chrysler 8.5")

I don't think a Chrysler 8.5" exists. I could be wrong. You must have meant 8.25". Could be a 9.25"...that's what mine is.

What about some wheel spacers/adapters that change the bolt pattern?
