alarm system '99 Durango
The alarm system does'nt work after turning on ignition then turning off. I have to unbolt this large wire connector under the dash, unplug it then reconnect it for it the security system to work. At this point it will work time after time until I start the engine then the security light stays on unless the engine is running, after shutting off the engine the light just stays on. Anyone???
I just discovered something else today...
After I remove the key from the ignition (security light on but not flashing), I press one of the window buttons and the security light goes out even tho there is no power to the window buttons. I found this interesting so after closing the door I pressed the lock button on the key fob and the security system armed.
Can anyone tell me why I have to press the unpowered window button as part of arming the alarm?
