Default noise in reverse from front end

There is a dragging, or rubbing noise in reverse only when the wheel is turned... I checked my inner wheel well and there is no sign of the tire rubbing it.. This happens all the time, both when the engine/tranny arewarm and cold...

I'm gonna check the power steering level...

my other thought would be that a brake is dragging...

running 31" tires, no lift..

tranny service is slacking... I'm going to do it in a month when I'm out of school... I'm positive the noise isn't coming from the transmission, its definately coming from the front end..

I really think its a brake dragging (I went out and listened again), but I don't know why it would drag so badly in reverse... just picture this.. when you're in stop and go traffic, and you ease off the brakes slowly and get that loud dragging noise, well its a little bit louder than that.... it really caught me off guard today...

argh, i feel stupid now... It was just the tire rubbing the bumper... I underestimated the sag in my tbars... I took it to a big parking lot and did a lot of reversing to find the sweet spot where the tire is turned enough to catch the bumper..

didn't realize how many little noises you can hear when the radio isn't playing

thats what i figured. lol good to hear that you found the issue, maybe turning your torsion bars a couple times can solve that. When my tire rubbed it was a huge pain, it would chatter enough to think it would show on the plastic but it was grabbing the bottom edge only. Who'd figure 33x12.50's would rub on a lifted/offset rim- that was already trimmed 1 1/2". lol Nothing a hammer couldnt fix.

It's only catching the very bottom corner, when the wheel is turned aout 80% to the left, in reverse.... So its not really an issue to anybody but me.. I'll prolly just crank them and get some shakles when I'm out of school...

I don't want to put a body lift on till I can throw a set of 33's on as well.. 5 inches lof lift looks akward on 31's

Yeah i can understand the 31"s. I was told it was a d on oreos. I think the only way is up when it comes to trucks/suv's.

i definately don't like the look of 5 inches on 31's

You have 4.7 and 3.55? How's your mileage with the 12.5 x 33's?

also, what is that blue thing poking out from behind the grill? You replace your rad?

4.7.... Silly you.. 5.9 [sm=hail.gif]. My mpg on the other hand i'd rather not discuss because i ignore the price perfill at the pumps, i dont want to cry. That blue thingy ma-jig is the AC housing, soon to be like the compressor and lines (removed). I cant let out anymore secretssss.
