Hey guys, Happy easter

My durango started acting a bit odd a few days ago and I'm kinda baffled as to what may be causing it. When ever the RPMs are up around 1250-1500 it vibrates really bad the steering wheel shakes and it can get kinda loud sometimes. as soon as i let off the gas it stops. that made me think it was something to do with the engine, but if it's in park and i rev it it doesn't vibrate at all. it only happens when I'm moving. Also if i go any faster than 45ish the whole car vibrates even when I'm not on the gas. so that makes me think maybe the tires are just badly out of alignment. So I'm really quite confused. So I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem.

Check lugnuts, front hub/bearing and ball joints.

make sure you didnt throw a belt in the tire, aswell if no avail check the driveshaft for play/bolts etc. Ive had a similar issue but no noise and it ended up being a clump of mud on one rim that off balanced the tire.

2. CV Half Shaft

3. Wheel Bearing.

4. Aglinement (4 wheel prefered)

5. Could just be a lost weight and your tire is out of balance.

 

thanks for the advice guys. I started with the easiest and cheapest explanation, checking the lug nuts, and the front left tire was actually loose. I tightend all the lug nuts 1/4-1/2 a turn, so I'm hopeing that was the cause.
