Anyone know what goes on this fitting?
Well mine is a NY truck, and I think we pretty much have the 2nd most strict emissions outside of CA. There really were only 2 setups, CA and Federal emissions. Mine has the Federal setup.

Please tell me this is why I'm getting P1494 & rough starting..?

Or at least what's supposed to go on this guy...
Location: Right on top of intake.
Thanks lads,
Rich

I have a 5.2 and on the passenger side just below the PCV hose in to the thottle body is a open connection just like this. I put my finger on it while the engine is running, and it does have vacuum. I looked around for an hose to attacha dn I found nothing.
Any ideas?
Same as yours?
I will have to post a pic when I get home tonight.
ok killer, my 98 durango just has that line plugged. but a neighbors 98 has a vaccume line running to the power brake booster. id just plug it if theres no line running to it.
Here's the pic from my 99 5.2. It's plugged. Might want to get a plug on it before it sucks in or decreases some other pressure.

Thanks. I plugged with a couple of layers of duct tape and string. That should hold it until I get a better plug.
And after a couple of days...my higher then normal idle RPMs is dowm to normal. From 1200 to 750-800 in park and 1100 to 600-800 in gear stopped.

hey killer, it looks like that used to be plugged, I can see a ring around the opening... Your plug prolly just dry rotted, or overheated and cracked off.. good to hear that plugging it has helped
