Default Have you had this TSB worked on?

Hello,
Do you have the 45RFE transmission?
I just bought mine 2002 SLT+ 4.7 4x4 with the 45RFE trans. I have 59,590 miles.
I plan on doing a trans service at 60,000 mainly because I do not know if the previous owner did and I want to put it out of my mind.

Symptom:
When the vehicle sits for a few hours or overnight, I experience a slow shift from first to second. It takes about 15 seconds going the road at 1500-2000 RPM to make the first shift into second gear.
When it "warms up", it drives fine. I have no P-Codes showing in the odometer. It drives fine with no problems. I do have the tow package with the trans cooler. Fluid on the dipstick looks clean.

I found a TSB that "might" be relevant.
Have any of you experienced this on your Durangos? If so what did you do about it.

Thanks,
Kevin

I am wondering if you have had this TSB performed on your rig.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 45RFE or a 545RFE automatic
transmission (sales code DG4 or DGQ respectively).

Discussion:

The customer may experience an initial delayed shift engagement following an extended off
(not running) period of time, generally after being parked overnight. The initial shift engagement
may feel like a delay or slip when a transmission gear (reverse or drive) is first selected after
engine start.
The customer may not have experienced the delayed shift engagement until after the
transmission has been serviced, where the cooler return filter was replaced during the service
and/or repair.
