Is it a "REAL" dual exhaust? Dual mufflers or 2 inputs into 1 muffler?

I'm looking at the same thing and was curious about the space as well. Did you have to put headers on it?

You're not going to fit 2 mufflers underneath a Durango. GS Motorsports makes a True-Dual kit, that uses a dual-in/dual-out muffler, but most people use a single-in/dual-out muffler because of tight space there is to work with under the Durango

A single-in/dual-out muffler is basically just for looks then.

What's the stock exhaust diameter? I saw you can order a 3" with mandrel bends and dynaflow or flowmaster 40 and even install yourself. Should be easier than working out a dual exhaust solution and give more performance benefits.

Stock is 2.5". GS Motorsports claims that there Dual 2.5" exhaust produces more power then Gibson's 3" single Exhaust. The GS Motorsports kit replaces everything from your headers back including cats, with the exception of the Dual in/Dual Out muffler it is 100% dual exhaust.

How hard is it to install shorty headers on my 03 Durango.(4.7) Do I have to change the rest of the exhaust?

" I know, If I get shorty headers, I should get dual exhaust."

Not hard at all. But if you just buy the headers you'll need to get a custom "Y" made to mate upo to your factory exhaust.

Hope this helps!

Not true at all. I have seen 3 Durangos with dual 40 series Flowmasters tucked under them. Personally I think dual exhaust looks tacky under an old D because one side of the bumper has a cutout for the exhaust and the other does not, so I opted for the 40 series with one 3" tip.
