replacing shocks
I was going to replace my shocks this weekend. Now I'm wondering which brand and model would work best for me? I spend about 75% on paved, and rest on dry river beds, dirt roads of Arizona. My brother's and cousin's truck makes some dirt roads feel almost like paved ones. In the D I feel every low and highs.
i just put in Monroe reflex and they made a HUGE difference in handling and body roll, can still feel the road, but not so much that you feel like you getting hit in the face every time you hit a pot hole(yea my stubborn parents let the truck go 72k w/o changing the stock shocks)
Hey Peshmode::
You must have graduated HS in the 80's. GO MTV!!!!!!!!
Anyway, you also might want to consider the Bilstein shocks. They can be bought on Ebay for around $250 shipped to your door. They have a lifetimewarranty.They have quite a firm ride though, so expect a big change from your worn out OEM units.
I did that on my 01 at 60k, and it made a world of difference.

Class of '83 !!!!!
In the military, that's how I got that nickname. I was the only one in the unit that listened tothe 80's rock.
I was considering the Rancho's RSX, but Edelbroc and bilstiens sounds good. I'll make the choice between the two.
I have Monroes right now and they wore out after a couple of years.
Thanks to everyone!

There is a big difference between Monroes and performance shocks.Performance shocksare much more stiffer.
