Squirrel man your comments make no sense to the squirrels or me. 20 percent is good for me the thing here is to find a way to make this work in conjunction with what we already have. NOT TO MAKE THIS A STAND ALONE FUEL FOR THE "D"S
NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT RUNNIN CARS SOLELY OFF OF HHO. JUST PARTLY
LET ME KNOW WHEN THE SQUIRRELS STOP FIGHTIN... THEN I CAN PAY ATTENTION TO THE B.S. YOU PROMOTE

Squirrel<---------

I understand what you are talking about, but this thread is not trying to fully run on strait HHO. Second, Obviously you can burn it so the opposite reaction would be fuel period. You can't get performance out of it! We are not trying to make a Super Charger!

The thing you are failing to see is the FACT of it CAN be burned and the mass is there. You are not just leaning out the mixture you are adding another combustible material.

Alright, I'll post one last time with some more information and you can take what you will from it:

http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...s/4271579.html

and the update:

http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...html?series=19

he's testing in a way more controlled environment then any of us can ever claim to have tried.

Correct but:

He is testing on a dyno and not in real life. Again EVERY motor is different and therefore EVERY PCM runs different with their motors and therefore get differences in results. The thing here is a few people test it and come up with nothing and some people test it and come up with everything.

For those who tested it and did great, good for you! Those that didn't get anything thanks for trying! This is more great info for everyone that wants to try it and thanks for your expertize aim4squirrels!

Regardless of which, more testing is being done on this subject so please keep the info comming!

I know this thread is almost 2 months old but i put a hydro kit on a couple months ago and here is my take. when you use hydro you must use 1 of 2 things : 02 sensor extender or a map\maf enhancer sensor. when i first put my kit on i got 10 mpg in city when i was getting 13-14 like everyone else. by the way i have a 06 with the 5.7. started doing some reaearch and my neighbor makes them as well and i found that adding hydro makes the engine run real rich. thus the reason for worse mpg and the use for the 2 items.

the extenders work by removing your 02 sensor, screwing the extender in then putting the 02 back in. what it does is it keeps the sensor from thinking it needs to dump that much more fuel because it senses the hydro being burnt. now some people i know put 2-3 of these on one sensor. i bought these but have not put them on.

i just bought the map sensor enhancer instead. it allows you to lean the engine out by the turn of ****. it also gives you 2 *****, one for city and one for highway and also has a switch to put it back to original settings.
i do need help though. i can't locate the map sensor on the hemi to install the enhancer and there is no information that i've found on the net that helps me. can anyone find our please?

I made a HHO unit out of three mason jars, it draws about 20-25 amps. i installed it in my 04.5 dodge 3500 4x4 dually diesel about 6 months ago. I have several thousand miles of testing. It has improved my mileage by 4 mpg, very happy with it. Very simple and easy to make, some people should read more and talk less.

Well if what they say is true about the ultra lean environment then you put the setup in the right type of vehicle. Diesels run lean most all of the time automatically. I don't imagine you had to mess with any emissions sensors am I right?

Not many sensors on the 04 diesel, i ran the hose in the bottom of the air box. HHO will give you better mpg on gas motors, but you have to deal with emissions. However, i installed a unit on a PT Cruiser without any problems. Keep in mind the units are low production. Seems the larger units mess with emissions. You can run a gas motor 100% on hydrogen, not so with a diesel, it needs the diesel fuel for lubricity. The one i made is very crude, i was messing around when i made it. I was surprized how well it worked.
