HI All:

I just purchased a new set of BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A Tour 275/60/17 tires and think they are great. They have a nice ride and are very quiet on the interstate. They have a good appearance and I have the black wall out. I ended up buying the tires from NTB becasue they price matched Costco.

They costed $512.83 with tax. This included mounting, lifetime balancing & rotation, and road hazard.

Plus you get a $50 Visa gift card from NTB when you spend over $500. Plus I got 6 months no interest using the NTB credit card.

I am still debating whether or not to go with those BFG Longtrail. Right now, my current BFG's are nearly at the end of its life treads. Still very interested in going with Michelin cross terrains because of its very quiet ride and overall excellent performance on most surfaces that are reported from alot of users that own this tire. Plus, they make this tire in HR rating for better performance even though it may take a hit in mileage life. Heck, I was fortunate to get almost 50k out of my current BFG's when they were rated for 40k at best.

Yeah, I also looked at those Michelin Cross Terrains but they are $50 more a tire over the BFGs. Costco is running a $60.00 off coupon (until the end of June) on all Michelin tires & selected BFGs which NTB honored. That's why I got the tires so cheap... plus NTB has the free $50 Visa gift card. I save $110.00 off the normal price. I couldn't pass up the deal.
I hope everyone understands that this is the NEW re-design of the old Long Trail A/T. The tread design is completely different. It's more of a passenger/performance tire now. If someone wants a new set of 4 Goodyear Wrangler HPs (original equipment) for their R/T...there're a couple guys on ebay selling them cheap. I almost went this route but wanted to try something different. Those Goodyears slipped & slide too much in the snow.

I may have to look a little more on this. The Longtrail tours is about $10 more per tire than the regular longtrails. Also, BFG is owned by Michelin now so the tire should still have a good rep. Both styles of Longtrail is still TR rated for speed. But then again, I don't speed around much if at all in my R/T. dread the gas gauge dipping faster if I hit the pedal too much!

I would guess bing a TR rated tire, these tires should be good for 50k miles or more for drivers that drive easy and not hug corners too much.
