Reverse Lights not working
Took our 2001 Dodge Durango in for a recall fix (steering column/gear shift). Got an inspection afterward. Inspection revealed reverse lights did not work. Honestly, I'm wondering if they did something when they were messing with the fixes for the recall.
Anyhow...dealer wants 1200. Our mechanic wants to fix it himself b/c he thinks it can be done without replacing the valve body (as the dealer wants to do). He found some info that says it's as simple as flipping a switch but the switch is not where it's supposed to be. Someone else told him that in our particular kind of durango, the switch is imbedded in...shoot, something I can't remember the name of but basically it was something that had to be replaced completely rather than just getting in to flip the switch.
Does anyone have any idea of how we can get this done without paying a small fortune? Mechanic is looking for an electrical diagram of the durango. Any idea where we can find that?
Thanks.
