My 99 dodge durango when i press on the gas normally to go up an incline(or sometimes on flat land) it makes a awful like grinding sound then vibrates the whole truck. I am wondering if anyone can help me trying to tell me what i should do or like where to take it. its bein doin this for about a month now and i took it to a transmission place and they said that it wasnt the transmission. thanks

My mother had the same thing happen on her 2000. I don't much about what happened. But she took it to Dodge and she had problems with them. They didn't know what it was. I will talk to her to find out what she did. Take it to a trusting mechanic. It sounds like rocks hitting pavement and scratching really fast right?

Sounds like engine "ping". Have the intake checked for an interanl vaccum leak. Common ailment to the Magnum line0up.
