i have a 99 d that keeps throwing up po132 and po138 i have replaced both sensors and checked all my connections at least three times. any ideas what it might be. also i have a vibration at about 35 but it goes away the faster or slower i go. could i have a tire out of balance?? any ideas would be very helpful, kinda stressin out about this. just bought it about 2 weeks ago. hopefully its not something that is very expensive.... P0132 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 1)

P0138 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank 1 Sensor 2)

There have been reports of lubricant leaking onto the conections of these causing failure.

Bad Cat?

Have the cat checked for back pressure. Most muffler shops will do this for free.

What motor are we talking about????

BTW

Could be a tire out of balance so have them checked and cross rotated.

it is a 318. would the exhaust be hotter than normal coming out of the tail pipe if it is not keeping any back pressure on the engine? i will take the d to our shop and have the tires balaced and rotated. thanks for the advice.

No.

You don't want anymore than about 2.5 lbs. of back pressure.

I had the P138 code pop up and I waited a while to replace the sensor. I was just being lazy but I did have the code ran. Well after about 30 days I forgot the code and I went back up to autozone to get it, and to buy the sensor. When they ran the codes this time I had two codes, the P138 and a new P601.

The P601 says, ECM internal fault, probable causes...
1- SHORTED INPUT SENSOR
2- Shorted electrical circuit
3- Failed ECM

I replaced the sensor that went bad (P138) and then reset the PCM. After about 10 minuted the check engine light came back on so I ran up to Autozone. The P138 was gone but the P601 was still on. Now, 6 months later, the P601 is still on.... Thats where my problem has led me and I cant figure it out...
