caliper bolt holes stripped?
i finally found the right spindle for my truck and the top bolt hole for the caliper seems to be stripped out. any one know of an easy fix for this beside buying a new dam spindle? this is the third one.

Two options for you are:
I think Napa and maybe the dealer sells an oversized caliper bolt. The down side is they are pricey, I think in the 35-40 buck range.
The other idea is to Heli-coil it. I have done this myself on my 72 Camaro of years back, and the repair held up just fine. IIRC, you buy the kit which includes a drill, tap, and 5 or so inserts. You will need to take your old bolt with you to size up what size of inert you will need.

Many people have installed thread repair.
Do a search and you will find it. Also there was a TSB on it. Search for it in the 1st geration Durango section. I believe I could have posted in the thread.

You can use the Napa bolt for that fix. Just be careful and go back in with it SLOWLY and STRAIGHT.
