Default Won't go into OD

I have a 2000 Durango (2WD) with teh 5.9L; 85k on the odo. Everything is bone stock. Recently, I've noticed that the car won't go into the O/D gear on the highway. The problem is intermittent - most of the time, it shifts ok into OD, but there are times when it won't shift out of 3rd gear. Any suggestions?

Could also be a TPS, trans output sensor, or a speed sensor.

No cel light but will check the tranny fluid.
I recently changed the TPS at the rear of the tranny (drivers side of the case). Is there another one more towards the front of the tranny? I thought I heard somewhere that there are two of these speed sensors.

The TPS is on the Throttle Body. (Throttle Position Sensor)

You did the trans output sensor but what about the rear axel speed sensor?

Depends what trans you have but I think there is only one on that rig. I don't think it has a input sensor.

And definatly check that fluid level. Remember to check it running and hot. Run the trans selector throught all gears including reverse for at least 3 seconds each. Basiclly all the way down and all the way back up to park then back to neutral, set your E-brake and check it while running but only after at least 15 mile run.

Only use the approved fluid so check the owners manual. Also you might need a fluid and filter change.
