Ok hope someone can give me some insight. For awhile I kept hearing this hissing or ticking sound coming from the front by the driver side. It would speed up when I pushed on the gas. Anyway no code came up. The other day I noticed some tape that was loose one a line comeing out of the air intake so I taped it up and the ticking stopped. Then two days later I got a code P1494 which is a Leak detection pump swithc or mechanical fault. So when I got home I looking at the engine and found that the line that I taped wasn't attached to anything. I and my husband looked and could not find where this tube should have been attached too. This line is about the size around as a pinky. I have tryed to find a diagram but can't. I was hoping that someone could give me an insight on where this tube should be attached to. Oh and when you cover the tube it drops my idle a little and it is sucking in hence a vacuum. Thanks in advance. mindy

see if it fits on either a vent or pcv valve in the top of the valve cover.

 

Thanks so much. After letting out side cool down we went out and checked. It was a male connector just under a tube that was going into the fuse box area. So we reconnected it and will see if it is the problem. thanks mindy
