Exclamation 2008 Durango Assembly Plant Tour

Here is the info and your invitation to attend the 2008 Durango Assembly Plant Tour.

http://www.durangoclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9637

This one is more than likely the last one folks. The Durango is destined for cancellation and the plant is slated to close. See history while you can.

Specifics are on the first post of page two on the thread.

I hope to see some or all of you there!

Wow, so what SUV will be replacing the Durango? They already cancelled the Jeep commander? I assume the sister Aspen will follow the Durango as well?

Then again, I don't really care too much about the 2nd gen Durangos anyway. They took away too much of the interior truck styling for a more settled minivan setup.

My 00 Durango may be my last SUV I will ever buy, so far, there is no other SUV out there that appeals to me. I wanted to switch over to the SRT Jeep, but did not want to give up my 7 passenger seating.

It would be great if they made a SRT Jeep commander as a token to its last year of production, I may be interested in trading in my D then!

I love my truck as well. I hate the look of the second gen version. To me they look like pregenant roller skate with some on steroids.

The 1st gen looks and wheels like a tank. Up to 7 pass. and avalible power house. The only thing I would like to do is throw a built bad *** Hemi in mine. Other than that, I just gotta get off my *** and get some body work going on my rig.

With the plant on a pending closed status.... and no announcement of where they would retool to assemble the D elsewhere.... it looks like the end of the line for the D. This is probably the last tour of the historic plant.

You guys are Durango fanatics like me. Attending the tour?!?!

After the tour and provided lunch, also includes a walk through of the Mopar Distribution Center also located in Newark, DE for a full day of Mopar experiences.
