This will work on Durangos from 1998/1999 to diss arm your alarm

Normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
lt. green/orange |-|, Located at a the
black plug in the drivers kick panel.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

If you want to use the alarm again all you do is remove the spliced wire
un hook your battery let it sit over night and hook it back up

I have never heard this before. Putting continuity to ground just sounds wrong.

Are you sure that this can disable alarm?

Search in this room about it. There is a write up on this to do it the right way.

This does work i went to 3 alarm specialist and paid for them to trouble shoot it and towed my durango to all three they looked it up and i did it at home and it works. By the way it's not power wire but the main sensor wire. according to the specialist

If you are ever looking to use the alarm again you can go to your local Dodge dealer and buy a fob and get them to program it to your D.
