Default 98 durango check engine light question

I have a 98 Durango and this morning I saw that the check engine light flashed and the vehicle kinda sputtered a bit when I first took off. The light didnt stay on. It then seemed to cleared up with no more problems. It has been raining here for the last couple days and I havent driven it. Is is possible that moisture could have caused this????

Could be... Hard to say... Next time it does it head to Autozone and they will use a reader to pull the codes on your truck for free... Matter of fact I just did this today.. Transmission speed sensor $16.95 and my light is out...

The code should still be in the computer. Go to Auto Zone and have it read and tell us what it was.

In the 4.7L I have seen rain effect the Camshaft Sensor.

Please give us the motor size and the code when you get it?

how many miles do you have on the wires. also are they touchin the engine? I had that sputterin prob and it was the wires on the engine.

There are hard codes and soft ones. I've seen the soft ones disappear.

How many miles do you have on the wires? That could also be the prob. they do eventually give out, but not all at once. Try this the two cylinders that have the miss, switch the wires with another two that will fit the length.

P.S.> how much for the "D" ?
