Pet peave. Sorry.

Anyway, I just got new tires today. I got Yokohama Geolander H/T-S in 265/75/15 up from the 235/75/15 that were on there. I will keep them pumped up pretty much to the max (I believe 40 psi) because I use my D to tow almost all the time. These tires look great and are much smoother than the crappy Generals that were on there.

I'll have some pictures of my whole rig (trailer and D) with the new tires soon.

I'll post how they are wearing as I get some miles on them. All the reviews on tirerack.com were pretty good with many people getting well over 60k miles out of a set. They weren't too bad for price either. I paid about $550 mounted and balanced.

99 durango 5.2L running goodyear wrangler mt/r 32x11.5r15 'Normal road' driving oem psi 35 front 44 rear. 'towing' bump it up a bit to 40 front 50 rear. "light towing mainly atv" just rides better due to tires gripping every little road rut. 'offroad/beach' driving 17-18 front 17-18 rear psi. tire rotation done at every oil change helps keep tire tread flat. only had tires for one year and they still look like new. ive heard of people running these tires anywhere from 30 to 55 thounsand miles. so for a mt/r you cant ask for much more.

GR8Scott72,

I bet your wider footprint gives your D more stability!!!! going from 235 to 265 is quite a change in the width of the tire.

It's a whole different animal now. It's smoother, quieter, and actually stops when you step on the big pedal on the left.

Of course, I also put on Hawk Superduty pads up front and Bilstein HDs all the way around.

gr8<----Is affordable......LOL

I hate that pedal on the left. It's always slowing me down!

Hope you replaced the spare into the new size in case you have a blow out!

That's one thing that I always thought was strange about the 235 tires. The spare is a brand new, never-ever been on the ground 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Wrangler so why did it have 235/75/15s on it?

One thing I can think of is when the PO took it to Wal-mart to get tires, they told her that the correct size was 235/75/15 and put those on there.

Or maybe someone replaced just the spare with a brand new 31x10.5x15. Wierd.
