Brake system re-work, no fluid to RR??
All,
In my 2000 Durango, I've just finished some brake work that included the following:
2 new Roters & Pads for front
2 new drums for rear
2 new sets of shoes for rear
2 new wheel cylinders for rear
new spring kit for rear's
when I did the r&r for the RR wheel cylinder, I noticed that the cylinder was very dry. When I broke the line on the right side, no fluid drained out. I didn't think that much about it because when I did the left side first, I used my vacuum pump to pull the fluid from the lines.
However, after I got everything together and buttoned up, I'm unable to pull any fluid to the RR side. I was able to successfully bleed the LR, RF, and LF sides with no problem, and my pedal is now *VERY* solid.
So my question is, what could be keeping the fluid from the RR side? is there some proportioning valve that may be stuck? A distribution block somewhere that I'm not seeing? do I need to take it to (gasp!) my stealership to have them put it on a rack and look at it?
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It would be near the front of the car probably mounted on the frame. They are usually within a few feet of brake line from the master cylinder. It will have a few lines going to and leaving it. find the line that goes to the rear and crack it loose and have someone push the brake pedal. Make sure you use a fitting wrench or else you will ruin the fittings.

Thanks for pointing to the location hydra.. I took a gander at it this afternoon and sure enough, there it was. I'll get it back up in the air this weekend and see if I'm getting any fluid from the proportioning valve.
